About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Deliver engineering and consulting services for projects focused on shoreline stability, flood risk reduction, and waterfront infrastructure resilience
- Lead geotechnical projects related to water management, flood resiliency, and general infrastructure design
- Conduct geotechnical analyses for levees, dams, floodwalls, and other hydraulic structures
- Prepare geotechnical recommendations for designs, drawings, specifications, and reports
- Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams to deliver innovative designs
- Evaluate instrumentation systems at levees, spillways, outlet works, and slopes
- Assist in planning and coordinating geotechnical field investigations
- Review boring logs and laboratory data
- Design and analyze heavy civil and earthen structures
- Prepare design/bid packages for permitting/construction and oversee construction administration
Requirements
What you’ll need- A Bachelor’s degree in Geotechnical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Geological Engineering, or related field is required
- 5 years of geotechnical experience
- Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) or ability to obtain license in Arkansas within 3 months
- Preferred qualifications include a Master's degree in Civil Engineering
- Minimum of 8 years of geotechnical experience
- Experience in managing project teams and collaborating with other technical disciplines
- Proficiency in using programs such as gINT, SEEPW, SLOPEW, CWALSHT, PYWall, LPILE, and GROUP
- Experience in geotechnical analyses for dams, levees, cofferdams, and foundations for various hydraulic structures
- Expertise in seepage, static and seismic stability analysis, liquefaction analysis, deformation analysis, and foundation and settlement analysis.
