About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- conduct structural analysis, design, and engineering during construction services for climate adaptation projects.
- conduct structural related engineering investigations, calculations, and planning work.
- research feasibility of alternative design approaches, site conditions, and regulatory agency specifications.
- develop calculations, plans, specifications, requests for proposals, and other contract documents.
- work with various engineering disciplines, office/project staff, clients and sub-contractors.
- exercise judgment on details of work and in making selections of engineering alternatives.
- function as Design Lead, Task Manager, or Project Engineer on projects.
- manage related budgets and schedules, lead deliverables, coordinate for timely completion of projects.
- mentor entry-level and junior structural engineering staff.
Requirements
What you’ll need- 8 years of relevant experience.
- Bachelor's degree in related discipline.
- Professional Engineer (PE) registration.
- experience in designing flood walls, flood gates, retaining wall structures, and deep foundations.
- progressive experience in structural engineering.
- Master's degree in Structural Engineering from a reputable institution is a plus.
- proficiency in structural analysis and design software such as STAAD, MathCAD, AutoCAD, and Revit.
