About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Lead strategy implementation to drive organic growth across the integrated water business.
Lead the established team to execute project backlog and drive continued growth.
Coordinate and collaborate with other Area Managers and all parts of the organization.
Oversee people management activities including hiring, onboarding, staff development, performance management and terminations.
Engage with client account teams to expand business development opportunities in coastal North Carolina and South Carolina.
Provide leadership for the operational performance of water staff to ensure achievement of operational goals.
Negotiate critical issues with clients and oversee projects in planning, design, and construction.

Requirements

What you’ll need

Minimum of 15 years’ experience in water / wastewater / stormwater project management, design management, business operations, or related.
Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering in Civil, Environmental, Chemical or Mechanical Engineering.
P.E. License
Strong client relationship skills with a successful track record of delivering engineering projects that meet or exceed client expectations.
Strong project management experience on municipal water, wastewater, or stormwater projects of various sizes.
Strong people management and mentoring skills.
Excellent technical engineering skills with clear and concise written and oral communication skills.
Master's in Civil, Environmental, or Mechanical Engineering or related professional degree such as Master of Business Administration or Master of Public Administration.
Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
20 years’ experience in water / wastewater / stormwater project management, design management, business operations, or related.
