About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Collaborate with a dynamic and growing team to support projects through all phases of the site evaluation and remediation life cycle
  • Contribute to environmental investigation, remediation, and technical reporting, working across multiple projects
  • Support various project managers as an assistant project manager
  • Manage project budgets and direct field staff in data collection
  • Ensure adherence to safety protocols and procedures for you and your project team
  • Communicate effectively with clients, regulatory agencies, and stakeholders under the supervision of the Project Manager
  • Support the development of conceptual site models and contribute to the design, modification, or optimization of site remedies
  • Write and review technical reports
  • Help organize work schedules with Arcadis staff and subcontractors
  • Produce cost estimates, forecast project spend, review client invoices, and track key performance indices under the supervision of the Project Manager

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 4–8 years of experience in the environmental industry
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Geology, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a closely related field
  • Previous experience with environmental sampling, technical report writing and data evaluation
  • Strong focus on health and safety, with the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
  • Familiarity with California State regulations (preferred)
  • 40-hour HAZWOPER certification (with an annual 8-hour refresher, if applicable) (preferred)
