About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Support a growing number of projects in our Texas offices
  • Plan, design, oversee civil engineering projects, including industrial solid waste landfills, wastewater collection and treatment systems, environmental restoration projects, channels, levees, drainage systems, stormwater treatment facilities, pipelines, pump stations, roads, and other civil/environmental infrastructure components.
  • Apply working knowledge of AutoCAD, Civil 3D, GIS, hydrologic/hydraulic modeling tools to design and deliver civil and environmental infrastructure projects
  • Prepare engineering designs, analyses, specifications, and construction documents
  • Conduct site inspections, monitor progress, ensure compliance with plans and standards, and respond to contractor Requests for Information (RFIs)
  • Maintain familiarity with relevant government, client, and industry codes and standards

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering or a related field
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license, with the ability to obtain licensure in Texas
  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience
  • Proficiency with industry software including AutoCAD, Civil 3D, GIS, hydrologic/hydraulic models, and geotechnical analysis tools
  • Working knowledge of earthwork, grading, and slope design principles
  • U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident
  • Master’s Degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering preferred
  • Experience working within a consulting engineering firm preferred
  • 10+ years of related experience preferred
