About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Providing technical and design support for industrial and/or water project designs as part of a team.
Preparing calculations, drawings, and technical reports for structural engineering projects.
Corresponding with project managers, project teams, and clients.
Engaging in a variety of market sectors with the guidance and experience of the existing team to grow professionally.
Working on multiple, unique assignments simultaneously with the initiative and ability to take on new projects and other challenges regularly.
Participating in site visits, inspections, and providing support during construction phases as required.
Ensuring designs comply with relevant codes, standards, and Arcadis quality procedures.

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
Experience with AutoCAD, Revit, and/or Microstation CAD software.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
This position requires a current valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
Prior internship or co-op experience in a Consulting Engineering firm or Municipal work environment preferred.
Familiarity with structural analysis and design software (such as SAP2000, STAAD.Pro, ETABS, or similar).
Knowledge of applicable building codes and industry standards.
Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification, or ability to obtain within one year preferred.
