About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- lead multidisciplinary site assessment, permitting, and environmental documentation service needs for various types of power projects.
- engage in permitting activities for other energy technologies (solar, co-located power, and emerging generation).
- assist clients with planning services for project development and execution of comprehensive permitting programs.
- provide senior level quality assurance/quality control for client deliverables.
- coordinate additional project services that may include stormwater and erosion control planning, cultural resources, floodplain assessments, and various civil engineering components.
- support and/or manage the growth of new and existing client relationships in conjunction with business development and account leaders.
- leverage existing client relationships, supporting client account teams, and leading pursuits and proposal development.
- participate in market-facing events to increase Arcadis’ presence and profile.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree in environmental science, biology, ecology, geology, water resources, or similar environmental discipline.
- 10 years of total experience in the environmental consulting industry.
- 5 years of experience managing environmental permitting projects, technical teams, schedules/budgets, and the delivery of high-quality work products.
- 2 years of experience leading project pursuits, including direct client communication and preparation of project scopes, schedules, and cost estimates.
- Demonstrated experience coordinating with Midwest federal, state, and local natural resource permitting agencies in the development of regulated utility and commercial development projects in the power sector.
- Ability to lead the delivery of projects, ensuring client satisfaction, effective project management, and good communication and collaboration between multi-disciplinary teams of scientists, planners, engineers, and other specialists.
- Excellent technical writing and strategic problem-solving skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively with company leadership, staff, and client colleagues.
- Involvement in client development and leadership, including the sourcing of project opportunities, participation in industry networking events, and direct client relationship building.
