About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Utilize expertise and technical knowledge to execute water and wastewater treatment design & construction engineering activities.
  • Manage design teams and mentor junior engineers.
  • Lead and/or participate in client development activities, assessing potentials, assisting with position and capture strategies, and proposal and presentation efforts for various stages of water/wastewater design projects.
  • Create construction documents, specifications, knowledge of required permitting and overseeing construction administration.
  • Manage a range of projects for various clients in the region including budgets, delivery schedules, and leading project teams to meet deliverables.
  • Work directly with clients to determine their needs, provide tailored solutions, and ensure compliance with Arcadis practices, quality standards, and safety requirements.
  • Travel for client meetings, project site visits, and other assignments may be required.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor or Master's Degree in Civil, Environmental, Mechanical, Chemical Engineering or related field.
  • 10 years of related industry experience in the water/wastewater field.
  • PE License in New Jersey and/or in other nearby states (or ability to obtain NJ PE within 6 months).
  • 15+ years of industry-related experience (preferred).
  • Experience preparing plans and specifications conform to Construction Specification Institute MasterFormat (preferred).
  • Experience working on design projects with construction contractors utilizing alternative project delivery methods (preferred).
