About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Utilize expertise and technical knowledge to execute water and wastewater treatment design & construction engineering activities.
Manage design teams and mentor junior engineers.
Lead and/or participate in client development activities, assessing potentials, assisting with position and capture strategies, and proposal and presentation efforts for various stages of water/wastewater design projects.
Create construction documents, specifications, knowledge of required permitting and overseeing construction administration.
Manage a range of projects for various clients in the region including budgets, delivery schedules, and leading project teams to meet deliverables.
Work directly with clients to determine their needs, provide tailored solutions, and ensure compliance with Arcadis practices, quality standards, and safety requirements.
Travel for client meetings, project site visits, and other assignments may be required.

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor or Master's Degree in Civil, Environmental, Mechanical, Chemical Engineering or related field.
10 years of related industry experience in the water/wastewater field.
PE License in New Jersey and/or in other nearby states (or ability to obtain NJ PE within 6 months).
15+ years of industry-related experience (preferred).
Experience preparing plans and specifications conform to Construction Specification Institute MasterFormat (preferred).
Experience working on design projects with construction contractors utilizing alternative project delivery methods (preferred).
