About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Perform development and technical support for civil engineering projects at the South Port Complex, covering basic and detailed engineering.
- Responsible for analysis, design and integration of projects executed by VALE and/or contractors, ensuring compliance with technical, regulatory and operational requirements.
- Act as the interface between engineering, construction and maintenance, supporting technical decisions and ensuring the quality and consistency of the project technical records.
- Prepare small projects and modifications, and develop engineering concepts for new ventures, refurbishments and expansions.
- Conduct field surveys, perform technical project analysis, validate documentation and produce as-built documentation.
- Present technical solutions, clarify queries with suppliers and participate in the equalization and evaluation of technical proposals.
- Monitor civil works execution and electromechanical assemblies, ensuring scope, schedule, quality and contractual compliance.
- Support engineering planning and control activities, including physical-financial analysis and document management.
- Assist with approval and certification processes for projects and resolve technical issues during implementation.
- Prepare technical requisitions, issue technical opinions/reports and participate in inspections, factory tests and meetings with stakeholders.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Degree in Civil Engineering, with a minimum of 7 years’ experience in design and implementation of industrial and/or infrastructure projects.
- Experience in analysis, development and supervision of engineering projects (basic and detailed), preferably in mining, port or heavy industry sectors.
- Proficiency with technical tools: AutoCAD, CypeCAD/Eberick, SolidWorks, SAP2000, QGIS, as well as Microsoft Office and project management systems.
- Experience in technical evaluation of proposals, contract management, and construction planning and control.
- Knowledge of project-to-execution integration processes, quality control and preparation of technical documentation.
