About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Collaborate with a dynamic and growing team to support projects through all phases of the site evaluation and remediation life cycle
  • Contribute to environmental investigation, remediation, and technical reporting
  • Work across multiple projects and support various project managers as an assistant project manager
  • Office-based tasks encompassing a diverse range of activities related to environmental project management
  • Drive project remediation and characterization
  • Manage project budgets
  • Direct field staff in data collection
  • Communicate effectively with clients, regulatory agencies, and stakeholders
  • Support the development of conceptual site models and nature and extent of contamination delineation
  • Ensure adherence to safety protocols and procedures
  • Write and review technical reports
  • Help organize work schedules with Arcadis staff and subcontractors
  • Produce cost estimates, forecast project spending, review client invoices, and track key performance indices

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 4–8 years of experience in the environmental industry
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Geology, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a closely related field.
  • Previous experience with environmental sampling
  • technical report writing
  • data evaluation
  • staff mentorship/training
  • aspects of project financial management
  • Strong focus on health and safety
  • ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
  • Familiarity with federal and/or state environmental regulations (preferred)
  • Experience with petroleum hydrocarbon constituent characterization and remediation (preferred)
  • 40-hour HAZWOPER certification (with an annual 8-hour refresher, if applicable) (preferred)
