About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Collaborate with a dynamic and growing team to support projects through all phases of the site evaluation and remediation life cycle
Contribute to environmental investigation, remediation, and technical reporting
Work across multiple projects and support various project managers as an assistant project manager
Office-based tasks encompassing a diverse range of activities related to environmental project management
Drive project remediation and characterization
Manage project budgets
Direct field staff in data collection
Communicate effectively with clients, regulatory agencies, and stakeholders
Support the development of conceptual site models and nature and extent of contamination delineation
Ensure adherence to safety protocols and procedures
Write and review technical reports
Help organize work schedules with Arcadis staff and subcontractors
Produce cost estimates, forecast project spending, review client invoices, and track key performance indices

Requirements

What you’ll need

4–8 years of experience in the environmental industry
Bachelor’s Degree in Geology, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a closely related field.
Previous experience with environmental sampling
technical report writing
data evaluation
staff mentorship/training
aspects of project financial management
Strong focus on health and safety
ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
Familiarity with federal and/or state environmental regulations (preferred)
Experience with petroleum hydrocarbon constituent characterization and remediation (preferred)
40-hour HAZWOPER certification (with an annual 8-hour refresher, if applicable) (preferred)
