About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Provide technical leadership, project management, and client interface support across an interdisciplinary project team
  • Serve as a senior Arcadis lead supporting delivery of coastal resilience and floodwall projects in coordination with USACE stakeholders
  • Provide project management leadership, including scope, schedule, coordination, and quality oversight
  • Act as a technical integrator across civil, geotechnical, structural, and hydrology & hydraulics disciplines
  • Support client relationships with the City of Charleston, USACE, and others through clear communication, responsiveness, and professional judgment
  • Collaborate with regional and national Arcadis teams to ensure consistent technical excellence and delivery standards
  • Mentor junior and mid‑level staff and contribute to practice development and growth in coastal and flood risk infrastructure
  • Represent Arcadis locally in Charleston, supporting both project delivery and future growth opportunities

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 15+ years of professional experience in civil, coastal, or related infrastructure engineering
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license
  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering (preferred); related engineering disciplines considered
  • Preferred qualifications include experience serving as a lead or deputy project manager on large, federally funded infrastructure programs
  • Familiarity with U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) standards, processes, and coordination requirements is preferred
  • Experience working on projects in coastal or flood-prone urban environments is highly desirable
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills are desired, including experience working directly with public-sector clients.
