About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Provide technical leadership, project management, and client interface support across an interdisciplinary project team
Serve as a senior Arcadis lead supporting delivery of coastal resilience and floodwall projects in coordination with USACE stakeholders
Provide project management leadership, including scope, schedule, coordination, and quality oversight
Act as a technical integrator across civil, geotechnical, structural, and hydrology & hydraulics disciplines
Support client relationships with the City of Charleston, USACE, and others through clear communication, responsiveness, and professional judgment
Collaborate with regional and national Arcadis teams to ensure consistent technical excellence and delivery standards
Mentor junior and mid‑level staff and contribute to practice development and growth in coastal and flood risk infrastructure
Represent Arcadis locally in Charleston, supporting both project delivery and future growth opportunities

Requirements

What you’ll need

15+ years of professional experience in civil, coastal, or related infrastructure engineering
Professional Engineer (PE) license
Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering (preferred); related engineering disciplines considered
Preferred qualifications include experience serving as a lead or deputy project manager on large, federally funded infrastructure programs
Familiarity with U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) standards, processes, and coordination requirements is preferred
Experience working on projects in coastal or flood-prone urban environments is highly desirable
Strong written and verbal communication skills are desired, including experience working directly with public-sector clients.
