About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Support and continue to grow our expanding business in the Western U.S. with a focus on power and energy sectors
  • Prepare environmental documents and reports, including technical reports, National Environmental Policy Act documents, and permit applications
  • Manage the life cycle of environmental permitting projects, including leading proposal scope and cost development
  • Manage project budgets, schedules, and risk
  • Coordinate with client and regulatory agency
  • Lead technical delivery and provide senior review of client deliverables
  • Support and/or manage growth of new and existing client relationships
  • Collaborate with a diverse team and balance varying priorities

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree in environmental science, biology, ecology, or similar environmental discipline
  • 10 years + of total experience in the environmental consulting industry. Associated experience with environmental agencies and departmental roles with commercial entities may be considered equivalent
  • At least 4 years of experience managing environmental permitting projects, technical teams, schedules/budgets, and the delivery of high-quality work products
  • Demonstrated experience leading teams and working in collaboration with biologists, cultural resource specialists, planners, and other specialists in developing high quality documents for environmental projects
  • Demonstrated experience coordinating with federal, state, and local regulatory agencies in the Western US related to power and energy projects. Experience working with the USFS, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, BLM, the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, and state agencies
