About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Lead strategy implementation to drive organic growth across integrated water business.
Coordinate and collaborate with Area Managers, Client Account Leads, and Project Managers.
Responsible for hiring, onboarding, staff development, performance management, and terminations.
Engage with west North Carolina client account teams to expand business development opportunities.
Provide operational performance leadership for Water staff to meet operational goals.
Lead and coach a high-performing team and negotiate with clients and subconsultants.
Oversee projects in planning, design, and construction of water infrastructure facilities.
Travel of up to 30% may be required for project site visits and meetings.

Requirements

What you’ll need

Minimum of 15 years’ experience in water / wastewater / stormwater project management, design management, business operations, or related.
Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering in Civil, Environmental, Chemical or Mechanical Engineering.
P.E. License
Strong client relationship skills with a successful track record of delivering engineering projects that meet or exceed client expectations.
Strong project management experience on municipal water, wastewater, or stormwater projects of various sizes.
Strong people management and mentoring skills.
Excellent technical engineering skills with clear and concise written and oral communication skills.
