About the role
- Arcadis is seeking a GIS Consultant to assist Engineers, Scientists, and Project Managers with tasks associated with water infrastructure project work. This hybrid role could be based in any of our Ohio locations.
- Work with clients and internal teams to identify the best digital or GIS-based solution for their needs. This will involve conducting workshops and producing documentation throughout the implementation lifecycle.
- Perform data analysis, create web-based GIS products, produce documentation communicating findings and recommendations, and build out knowledge of database development and programming.
- Support multiple projects concurrently and act as point of contact for users or stakeholders.
- Provide GIS and digital solution support to projects with water utility clients including ESRI based ArcGIS Online, ArcGIS Enterprise, mobile applications, and web applications.
Requirements
- Bachelors Degree, preferably STEM related
- Minimum of 5 of experience leading GIS or data management implementations and being the point of contact for users or other stakeholders
- Solid foundational knowledge of SQL
- Solid foundational knowledge of Python or R
- Strong technical GIS skills, especially the ESRI Suite of Products.
- Excellent problem solver
- Outstanding verbal and written communication skills
- Detail Oriented
- Ability to work independently to develop solutions to problems using relevant technologies
- Ability to work on a team of people with a variety of backgrounds and expertise
- Experience with the Office 365 suite of tools (preferred)
- Experience architecting GIS based solutions (preferred)
- Experience managing budgetary considerations (preferred)
- Experience managing delivery of a defined scope of work (preferred)
