About the role
- Report to the Business Unit Director, Mobility Advisory, Ontario and support them and senior Mobility team members.
- Act as a technical mentor and recognized leader in transportation planning and engineering for key clients including MTO, Metrolinx, City of Toronto, VIA Rail, CIB.
- Support business unit strategic plan to expand practice and deliver transportation planning and engineering projects to clients.
- Business development: strengthen project pipeline through client relationship management, marketing, leading proposals both writing and reviewing/approving.
- Lead delivery of multi-disciplinary projects; manage delivery of specialized project components and assemble effective teams.
- Manage project risk through independent technical reviews and addressing review findings.
- Provide leadership, technical advice, quality control, and comprehensive project oversight.
- Support technical development of staff including coaching and mentoring on technical issues.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships during and after project completion and identify new client opportunities.
- Promote regional and global culture, evaluate technical competence, identify training needs, and manage project team performance.
Requirements
- 20 + years consulting experience on municipal projects of significant scale and/or complexity.
- P.Eng. Ontario.
- Proven experience in managing and nurturing relationships with key clients, ensuring long term partnerships.
- Visionary approach to driving innovation and implementing cutting-edge solutions in the transportation sector.
- Strong analytical skills and decision-making capabilities to support business growth and client objectives.
- Ability to promote and champion the organization’s goals and values.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, ensuring clear and effective presentations and discussions with clients and stakeholders at all levels.
- Demonstrated technical, commercial and delivery acumen.
- Strong capability in mentoring and developing talent within the organization.
- Previous relevant experience including leadership of the development and implementation of engineering solutions.
- Previously worked in a project management role and has relevant and extensive project management experience.
- RAQS qualified (preferred).
