About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Independently plan, manage and execute complex hydrogeological and hydrological analyses to support grid expansion projects.
Serve as the primary point of contact for authorities, project stakeholders and internal specialist departments.
Assess the water-related impacts of grid expansion projects (energy networks).
Lead negotiations and coordinate with authorities and public interest bodies.
Independently prepare and manage permit applications, particularly in the areas of construction dewatering, surface water and groundwater protection, and the EU Water Framework Directive.
Develop innovative solutions and optimize existing water management processes.

Requirements

What you’ll need

A completed degree (Bachelor, Master or Diploma) in Hydrogeology or Hydrology, Civil Engineering, Water Resources Management, Urban Water Management or a comparable field.
Several years of relevant professional experience, particularly in planning and implementing complex water management measures for grid expansion.
In-depth knowledge of permitting management and experience working with authorities and political decision-makers.
Experience in project management, including schedule and cost tracking as well as reporting.
Strong communication and negotiation skills when dealing with clients, authorities and other relevant stakeholders.
Strategic thinking and a solution-oriented working style, with a high degree of personal responsibility.
Very good German language skills (written and spoken) and good English skills for collaboration on international projects.
