About the role
- Field and office support including drilling oversight for soil sampling and/or groundwater well installation, groundwater sampling, excavation oversight, conducting pilots and full-scale remedial efforts, operation and maintenance of remediation systems, and vapor intrusion/soil gas surveys
- Environmental remediation design tasks, including soil and groundwater remedial system and remedial design and assessments
- Assist with design calculations for the selection of treatment technologies and process design drawings for groundwater, industrial, water, and wastewater
- Complete Computer-Aided Design and Drafting (CADD) tasks for the preparation of detailed engineering design drawings
- Assist Project Managers (PMs) and Assistant PMs (APMs) with planning environmental investigation and remediation tasks including site characterization, remedial design, and feasibility studies
- Office work including task coordination, data compilation and interpretation, cost estimates, health & safety plan preparation, development of technical reports, presentations, cost-estimates, and proposals, regulatory file review, proposal writing, project strategy development, schedule and budget
- Collaborate with regional clients and internal teams to support project design, delivery, technical consulting, and field implementation
- Participate in onboarding and development programs to expand professional growth
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science in Geological Engineering, Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Chemical Engineering
- Professional license (EIT and/or GIT) (preferred)
- OSHA HAZWOPER 40 hr / 8 hr refresher training (preferred)
- Experience with AutoCAD and/or other CADD software (preferred)
- Strong experience working with MS Office Software (preferred)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills (preferred)
- Experience with collecting environmental media samples (e.g., groundwater, soil, wastewater, etc.) (preferred)
- Strict adherence to health and safety procedures
- Self-motivated with independent thinking skills and attention to detail
- Flexible to travel up to 25% as required by project needs
