About the role

  • Utilize expertise and technical knowledge of water/wastewater evaluations, design & construction as a Lead Technical Designer, Task Manager and/or Project Manager
  • Develop municipal water/wastewater projects, leading successful execution and delivery of projects, and developing team’s capabilities
  • Lead projects from planning to design and construction of water/wastewater treatment plants/facilities, pump stations, stormwater systems, and distribution/collection systems
  • Create construction documents/specifications and provide engineering services during construction
  • Develop project scope, budgets, and delivery schedules for each assignment
  • Participate in industry conferences/associations at the local, state, and/or national level
  • Participate in marketing and business development activities for the water/wastewater market in the region.
  • Work with other senior staff to manage clients in the region.
  • Coordinate execution of projects with other disciplines.
  • Prepare construction packages for the engineering, procurement, and construction of water waste water systems for clients.
  • Create and manage cost estimates and project schedules.
  • Perform detailed engineering calculations & analysis and utilize design software to solve complex issues.
  • Supervise and support the work of others and mentor junior-level engineer & design/drafting technical staff.
  • Maintain Arcadis’ standards and specifications for municipal water/wastewater design & construction projects.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil, Environmental, Mechanical, or Chemical Engineering or a related field of study
  • 10 years of progressively responsible experience
  • Licensed Professional Engineer
  • Staff development and supervision skills; including mentoring junior-level staff
  • Strong, clear, and concise written and oral communication skills
  • Client relationship skills: including preparation and development of proposals and client management experience with a successful record of accomplishment, delivering a variety of engineering projects that meet or exceed the expectations of the client.
  • Ability to travel 10% - 20%.
  • Experience in water/wastewater plant/facility design and construction administration/oversight projects.
  • Experience preparing, reviewing, and approving project drawings, specifications, schedules, and cost estimates.
