About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Support design and documentation tasks for ITS and transit technology projects, including preparing engineering figures, markups, and technical specifications
- Assist with reviewing contractor submittals and shop drawings against project requirements
- Help develop and organize technical deliverables such as requirements matrices, design narratives, and progress reports
- Research engineering standards, transit agency criteria, and emerging transportation technologies to support active projects
- Use data and mapping tools to support project coordination and systems analysis
- Assist senior engineers and project managers with day-to-day coordination across multidisciplinary project teams
- Gain exposure to real-world public infrastructure delivery, working alongside transit agencies, DOTs, and partner firms
- Contribute to smart mobility initiatives spanning Bus Rapid Transit, communications systems, and ITS planning
Requirements
What you’ll need- Seeking a degree in civil or transportation engineering
- Prior internship experience in engineering consulting or DOT
