About the role
- Work alongside scientists, engineers, project managers, and technical experts on various activities in support of diverse environmental assessment, remediation and deactivation projects
- Lead remedial system design and assessments, developing detailed design drawings, technical specifications, and design calculations
- Prepare startup plans and standard operating procedures, delegating drafting and drawing responsibilities to junior team members
- Conduct feasibility research on alternative design approaches, evaluate site conditions, and ensure adherence to regulatory agency specifications
- Coordinate and participate in field activities including onsite treatment system startups and engineering oversight during construction
- Travel up to 25% to support construction, startup activities, pilot testing, full-scale remedial efforts, and engage with clients and stakeholders
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science Degree in Environmental, Mechanical, Chemical, Civil Engineering or closely related field
- Minimum 7 years of experience
- 40-hour OSHA HAZWOPER training and appropriate annual refresher certifications (Preferred)
- Engineer-In-Training certification or Professional Engineering license (Preferred)
- Experience with AutoCAD or Revit (Preferred)
