Requirements

  • Must have experience and/or educational background in structural engineering
  • Must possess the ability to work on multiple unique assignments simultaneously
  • Must have excellent communication skills, written and verbal, and be able to convey information to other disciplines
  • Currently pursuing a Degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering or closely related field
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Experience with AASHTO LRFD
  • Experience with DOT bridge design policies and procedures highly desired
  • Experience with structural engineering software packages such as LEAP Bridge (CONSPAN and RCPier specifically), MerlinDash, MathCAD, SAP2000, STAAD, RISA 3-D
  • Experience with CADD related software packages such as Microstation, AutoCAD
  • Prior internship or related experience
