About the role

  • assist in the technical design and plan production for projects of varying sizes
  • deliver “best in class” technical and innovative solutions to our clients on the design, delivery and management of structural resources
  • utilize excellent technical skills in the design of bridges and other transportation related structures including AASHTO LRFD
  • convey information to technical and non-technical individuals through solid written and verbal communication skills

Requirements

  • Education required: BS Degree in Civil Engineering or related field
  • EI or the ability to obtain EI within one year from date of hire
  • Skills required: experience reading and reviewing bridge plans
  • Software skills required: familiarity with LEAP OpenBridge Designer (LEAP Bridge Concrete specifically), MerlinDash, MathCAD, Microstation, Microsoft Office
  • This position requires minimal travel
  • A valid driver’s license and clean driving record is required for this position
  • Preferred qualifications include, but are not limited to: MS Degree in Civil Engineering or related field
  • 1-5 years’ experience in bridge engineering
  • Experience with GDOT, VDOT, TDOT, SCDOT, TXDOT, ALDOT, NCDOT and/or FDOT bridge policies and procedures desired
  • Bridge Maintenance experience desired
  • Bridge Inspection experience desired
