About the role
- Utilize technical knowledge to support geotechnical projects related to water management, flood resiliency and general infrastructure design.
- Conduct geotechnical analyses for levees, dams, floodwalls, and other hydraulic structures.
- Prepare geotechnical recommendations for designs, drawings, specifications, and reports.
- Collaborate with multi-disciplinary Water Management team that includes Civil, Structural, and Geotechnical Engineers.
- Evaluate data of instrumentation systems at levees, spillways, outlet works, and slopes.
- Assist in planning and coordinating geotechnical field investigations.
- Review boring logs and laboratory data.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Geotechnical Engineering, Civil Engineering, related field.
- Pursuing master's degree in civil engineering (preferred).
- 1 year of prior geotechnical internship or work experience (preferred).
- Proficiency in using programs such as gINT, SEEPW, SLOPEW, CWALSHT, PYWall, LPILE, and GROUP (preferred).
- Experience in geotechnical analyses for dams, levees, cofferdams, and foundations for various hydraulic structures (preferred).
- Ability to obtain EIT.
