About the role
- Lead multidisciplinary project teams in delivering highway and transportation projects, including planning, design (urban, rural, freeway, interchange), right-of-way coordination, and public safety, with a relentless focus on quality and client satisfaction.
- Manage all project phases—from scope development and budgeting to execution and final delivery—ensuring alignment with client objectives and Arcadis standards.
- Collaborate with internal offices and external partners to support project success, and maintain adherence to Arcadis quality, safety, and operational standards.
- Provide leadership, mentorship, and career development support to the transportation group, driving a culture of continuous learning, high performance, and inclusive teamwork.
- Drive group strategic planning, resource allocation, and workload management to optimize productivity and project delivery, while identifying and pursuing growth opportunities.
- Champion business development by supporting proposals, cultivating client relationships, and pursuing new project opportunities within transportation and mobility markets.
- Facilitate cross-functional collaboration, knowledge sharing, and innovation within the group and broader Arcadis network; lead recruitment and retention initiatives to build and maintain a skilled, diverse team.
- Serve as a trusted advisor to clients and stakeholders, ensuring proactive communication, effective issue resolution, and alignment of project outcomes with client needs.
- Represent Arcadis at professional and community events to enhance the company’s visibility and reputation within the transportation sector.
Requirements
- Florida PE License
- 15+ years of progressive highway or transportation engineering design and project management experience, preferably with State DOT or local municipalities.
- Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or related field.
- Demonstrated experience leading multi-disciplinary teams and delivering complex transportation projects.
