About the role
- Develop and deliver a strong and coherent business unit strategy and business plan aligning with Global and North America strategy.
- Ensure projects are managed and delivered profitably and monitor project risks.
- Implement technical innovations to help contracting partners win and deliver Design-Build projects.
- Oversee project team(s) and be responsible for tender phase and detailed design phase.
- Supervise Project Managers/Design Managers on Design-Build/Progressive Design Build/P3 projects to guide and mentor them.
- Collaborate closely with Major Projects team globally to set up, manage and deliver complex and large infrastructure/mobility projects.
- Performance management vs 'as sold' with solid forecasting, including non-financial execution basis.
- Ensure client/contractor focus and quality procedures, participate in Go/No Go process and provide inputs.
- Apply corporate and Divisional strategy to operation and execute strategy, document baseline scope, price, execution basis, risks & contingency.
- Improve compliance with project reviews, scope review, and change control.
- Actively manage project cash flow, baseline understanding, visibility of DRO performance, unbilled receivables (WIP), and AR follow up.
- Collaborate with Finance, Sales & Operations to support MEPC+ and create environment for adoption of service best practices.
- Ensure service change is operationalized across Business Areas and advocate change management culture and commercial mindset.
Requirements
- 20+ years of experience in similar roles either as Design Director, Technical Director, Project Director with major design firms or contractors managing design delivery on DB Projects or similar.
- Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, construction, or related field.
- Design/Construction Industry background on large complex projects.
- Professional Engineering License.
