About the role
- Gain hands-on experience evaluating, planning, designing, and supporting management of water/wastewater treatment and conveyance projects including pipelines and pumping facilities.
- Assess, develop, and support management of sustainability and resilience projects, including vulnerability and mitigation assessments and planning and design for utilities, municipalities, and cities.
- Conduct fieldwork: site visits, sampling, water quality analyses, evaluate technologies, gather plant operations information, troubleshoot processes, and optimize systems.
- Support preparation of reports, presentations, and other audio-visual materials, and participate in client meetings.
- Ensure project compliance with Arcadis practices and quality, health and safety standards; coordinate for timely project completion on time and budget.
- Work independently and as part of a team across the U.S. and internationally; learn and use digital tools including SharePoint and BIM.
Requirements
- Pursuing a BS in Civil, Environmental, or Water Resources Engineering, or another closely related academic discipline.
- Prior internship or coursework in water/wastewater, water resources, or related sectors.
- EIT certification.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Strong attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, solid work ethic, initiative, excellent written and verbal communication skills, self-motivated and team-oriented.
- Solid understanding of engineering concepts, theories, and practices related to water, wastewater, and stormwater.
