About the role
- Assist in conducting traffic studies
- Utilize data to identify operational and safety needs
- Prepare plans
- CAV corridor planning
- Work with project managers and senior engineers
- Conduct safety and operational analysis for intersections and corridors
- Utilize big data sources to identify safety and operational needs
- Provide program support functions for engineering programs
- Perform CAD assignments
- Develop traffic simulations models
- Work with senior engineers to improve signal timing plans
- Research engineering standards and implement smart infrastructure
Requirements
- Seeking a degree in civil or transportation engineering
- Prior internship experience in engineering consulting or DOT
