About the role

  • Support and drive development of water projects; interact with clients and develop technical capabilities
  • Evaluate, plan, and design projects related to water/wastewater/stormwater treatment and conveyance, including pipelines and pumping facilities
  • Support project management activities and ensure project compliance with Arcadis practices and quality, health and safety standards
  • Contribute to sustainability and resilience projects by conducting vulnerability assessments, mitigation planning, and designing solutions for utilities, municipalities, and cities
  • Perform field tasks such as site visits, water sampling, analyzing water quality, evaluating technologies, troubleshooting processes, and optimizing plant operations
  • Support preparation of reports, presentations, and other audio-visual materials, and participate in client meetings
  • Facilitate coordination for timely completion and submission of projects on time and budget
  • Learn, design, and manage databases, SQL Server (including reporting and integration services), cloud-based computing services, and configuration of interactive dashboards
  • Learn and use digital tools to enhance customer experience and project delivery including configuration and deployment of SharePoint, Building Information Modeling (BIM), Power BI, and Augmented Reality

Requirements

  • Bachelors of Science degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering (or a closely related engineering discipline)
  • Prior work/internship experience at a design or consulting engineering firm or municipal work environment (preferred)
  • Experience with AutoCAD, ArcGIS, and/or Revit (preferred)
  • EIT certification (preferred)
  • Knowledge of engineering concepts, theories, and practices related to water/wastewater/stormwater
  • Familiarity or experience with AutoCAD
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications such as Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
  • Strong attention to detail and exceptional organizational skills
  • Diligent work ethic and proactive attitude
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Self-motivated, team-oriented, and adaptable
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to perform site visits, water sampling, analyze water quality, evaluate technologies, troubleshoot processes, and optimize plant operations
