About the role
- Support and drive development of water projects; interact with clients and develop technical capabilities
- Evaluate, plan, and design projects related to water/wastewater/stormwater treatment and conveyance, including pipelines and pumping facilities
- Support project management activities and ensure project compliance with Arcadis practices and quality, health and safety standards
- Contribute to sustainability and resilience projects by conducting vulnerability assessments, mitigation planning, and designing solutions for utilities, municipalities, and cities
- Perform field tasks such as site visits, water sampling, analyzing water quality, evaluating technologies, troubleshooting processes, and optimizing plant operations
- Support preparation of reports, presentations, and other audio-visual materials, and participate in client meetings
- Facilitate coordination for timely completion and submission of projects on time and budget
- Learn, design, and manage databases, SQL Server (including reporting and integration services), cloud-based computing services, and configuration of interactive dashboards
- Learn and use digital tools to enhance customer experience and project delivery including configuration and deployment of SharePoint, Building Information Modeling (BIM), Power BI, and Augmented Reality
Requirements
- Bachelors of Science degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering (or a closely related engineering discipline)
- Prior work/internship experience at a design or consulting engineering firm or municipal work environment (preferred)
- Experience with AutoCAD, ArcGIS, and/or Revit (preferred)
- EIT certification (preferred)
- Knowledge of engineering concepts, theories, and practices related to water/wastewater/stormwater
- Familiarity or experience with AutoCAD
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications such as Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
- Strong attention to detail and exceptional organizational skills
