About the role
- Provide leadership, technical knowledge and experience to further develop design team capabilities
- Lead project tasks in planning, design, permitting and construction of wastewater and/or reclaimed water facilities
- Lead preparation of detailed engineering calculations and analysis
- Manage and lead capacity and facility evaluations
- Supervise and support the work of others and mentor junior level engineers
- Collaborate with the National Wastewater Practice Leader and broader National Wastewater Practice network
- Work directly with project managers and area managers to determine needs and provide solutions
- Some travel may be required
Requirements
- At least 8 years of experience in water/wastewater process mechanical design
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Civil, or Environmental Engineering, or related field
- Professional Engineer (PE) License in Florida or ability to obtain reciprocity within 6 months of hire
- Strong, clear, and concise written and oral communication skills
- Experience managing the preparation, review, and approval of project drawings, specifications, schedules, cost estimates, permit applications, RFIs, as-built drawings, and other relevant design and construction documents
- Strong client relationship skills
