About the role
- lead water / wastewater design engineering and construction projects.

- detailed design and engineering plans and specifications for water / wastewater projects including new facilities, plant upgrades, storage facilities, pipelines, storm water systems, pump stations, and distribution / collection systems.
- lead structural design and serve as Engineer of Record on projects.
- managing related budgets, schedules, deliverables, and the development of plans, permit checklists, and scopes of work.
- coordinating timely project completion and submissions.
- organizing and conducting structural investigations, calculations, and planning work.
- researching alternative design approaches, site conditions, and regulatory specifications.
- leading the development of calculations, plans, specifications, RFPs, and other contract documents.
- collaborating with multiple engineering disciplines, project staff, clients, and subcontractors throughout project life cycle.
Requirements
- 10 years of structural engineering experience in Water / Wastewater.
- Bachelor's degree in Structural or Civil Engineering (Structural emphasis).
- Professional Engineer (PE) License in Texas in Structural or Civil/Structural with ability to obtain license in other preferred states within 6 months.
- Master's Degree in Structural or Civil Engineering with a focus on structural engineering (preferred).
- Experience in structural engineering within the Water/Wastewater sector (preferred).
- 15 years of practical involvement in relevant projects (preferred).
- Structural Engineer (SE) License (preferred).
- NCEES Record featuring MLSE (Multi-Lateral Structural Engineer) (preferred).
- Completed the NCEES 16-Hour structural exam (preferred).
- Strong level of proficiency in MATHCAD (preferred).
