About the role

  • lead water / wastewater design engineering and construction projects.

  • detailed design and engineering plans and specifications for water / wastewater projects including new facilities, plant upgrades, storage facilities, pipelines, storm water systems, pump stations, and distribution / collection systems.
  • lead structural design and serve as Engineer of Record on projects.
  • managing related budgets, schedules, deliverables, and the development of plans, permit checklists, and scopes of work.
  • coordinating timely project completion and submissions.
  • organizing and conducting structural investigations, calculations, and planning work.
  • researching alternative design approaches, site conditions, and regulatory specifications.
  • leading the development of calculations, plans, specifications, RFPs, and other contract documents.
  • collaborating with multiple engineering disciplines, project staff, clients, and subcontractors throughout project life cycle.

Requirements

  • 10 years of structural engineering experience in Water / Wastewater.
  • Bachelor's degree in Structural or Civil Engineering (Structural emphasis).
  • Professional Engineer (PE) License in Texas in Structural or Civil/Structural with ability to obtain license in other preferred states within 6 months.
  • Master's Degree in Structural or Civil Engineering with a focus on structural engineering (preferred).
  • Experience in structural engineering within the Water/Wastewater sector (preferred).
  • 15 years of practical involvement in relevant projects (preferred).
  • Structural Engineer (SE) License (preferred).
  • NCEES Record featuring MLSE (Multi-Lateral Structural Engineer) (preferred).
  • Completed the NCEES 16-Hour structural exam (preferred).
  • Strong level of proficiency in MATHCAD (preferred).
