About the role
- Join Arcadis Design & Engineering team in Columbus, OH to support local and regional municipal market
- Perform engineering activities for water distribution, wastewater collection and stormwater modeling, evaluations, investigations, planning, feasibility studies, design and construction
- Utilize technical knowledge of water distribution, wastewater collection and stormwater systems modeling, design and construction to assist project teams and develop project pursuits
- Assist in defining scope of work and objectives through research and fact-finding and ensure project compliance with Arcadis practices and quality and safety standards
- Exercise independent judgment on details of work and make preliminary selections and adaptations of engineering alternatives
- Coordinate timely completion and submission of project deliverables and produce/review technical reports, construction documents, specifications, bid packages and cost estimates
- Regular participation with industry associations; attend workshops, make presentations, and review professional publications
Requirements
- MS degree OR PhD in Civil or Environmental Engineering
- Hydraulic modeling & engineering experience for evaluations, investigations, planning, feasibility studies and modeling (SWMM & C++ experience preferred)
- Experience with HEC-RAS Modeling, HSMs Modeling, Groundwater Unsaturated Zone modeling, CFD Modeling, Sediment Transport
- Active participation in regional and/or national professional associations
- Engineer in Training Certification (EIT) or ability to obtain within 1 year (preferred)
- Previous internship experience with an engineering consulting firm, municipality or other closely related work (preferred)
