💰 $80,000 - $115,000 per year
About the role
- Prepares electrical designs and drawings of building facilities including power, lighting, fire alarm, PA, IT, etc. using computer-aided tools
- Assist to identify cost-effective solutions to design problems
- Knowledge and use of industry standards and building codes such as NFPA, NEC, IEEE, UL, etc.
- Utilization of design and modeling software
- Liaises internally with project managers and other disciplines
- Assists in creating and presenting technical reports
- Requires the ability to recognize implications of assigned work on other disciplines
- Develop strong industry relationships with other design professionals
Requirements
- BS in Electrical Engineering
- 4 or more years of relevant experience in Electrical Engineering
- Electrical design and specification experience in power distribution, lighting design, fire alarm systems, card access and camera security systems, PA systems, telecommunications systems and audio-visual systems
- Design experience producing IFC drawings and specifications
- Strong written and verbal communications skills
- FE / EIT Certification preferred
- PE Registration a plus
- Strong skills in the use of the REVIT modeling system is an asset
- Experience in full-service consulting design firms and coordination with in-house A/E resources
