💰 $53,094 - $84,950 per year
About the role
- Assist Project Managers (PMs) and Task Managers (TMs) with planning and performing environmental site characterization, investigation, and remediation tasks
- Civil/Environmental engineering design including land development planning, hydraulic modeling/calculations, erosion and sediment control evaluations and layout, and earthwork site design
- Assist with developing permit/construction-level drawings and details, preparing technical specifications, and construction cost evaluation/estimating
- Prepare subcontracts and oversee the work of subcontractors
- Perform fieldwork with a focus on health and safety and which may include soil, sediment, surface water and/or groundwater sampling, geotechnical investigations, and construction oversight
- Writing and preparing technical reports, work plans, letters, and memoranda
- Office work may include task coordination, data compilation and interpretation, cost estimates, health & safety plan preparation, report writing, regulatory file reviews, proposal writing, project strategy development, schedule and budget management, and establishment of subcontracts
Requirements
- Bachelor’s of Science in Environmental Engineering, Civil Engineering, or closely related field (i.e., environmental, biological, physical science)
- EIT Certification (preferred)
- Master of Science degree in Environmental Engineering, Civil Engineering or closely related field (preferred)
- Current OSHA 40-hour HAZWOPER training (preferred)
- Experience with engineering software tools such as AutoCAD, Autodesk Civil 3D, HydroCAD, WinTR-55, PondPack, HEC-RAS, ArcGIS (preferred)
