Provide technical leadership and coordinate complex multi-disciplinary projects and programmes throughout the design life cycle
Lead, mentor and provide line management to multidisciplinary teams, promoting safety, health, quality, sustainability, collaboration and innovation
Ensure successful delivery of projects by setting clear goals and maintaining high standards of quality and safety
Build and sustain adequate resource for project delivery and identify strategic recruitment needs
Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients and stakeholders to meet and exceed expectations
Champion development of sustainable and forward-thinking engineering solutions
Report to the Technical Director and work on geotechnical projects for clients including Transport Scotland, National Highways, HS2 and international governments
Requirements
Extensive expertise in geotechnical engineering, with experience in both new build and asset management projects
Chartered Engineer status (or equivalent)
Degree in Civil Engineering or other directly related degree
Proven experience in leading complex engineering projects with a focus on quality, safety and sustainability
Strong communication and interpersonal skills to manage client and team relationships
Excellent people management skills to allocate talent and meet resource demands
Ability to work effectively across organisational boundaries, internally and externally
