About the role
- Provide leadership, maintenance and oversight of the Nuclear Quality Management System (NQMS) and implement global QMS governance within the country.
- Ensure compliance with NQA-1, ASME NQA-1 standards, ISO 17025, CSA N286/CSA N299, ISO 19433, ONR-UK, DOE Order 414.1D, 10 CFR50 Appendix B, and in-country regulations.
- Coordinate implementation, administration, and monitoring of global Quality Management Systems and report exceptions and recommendations to Global Quality Leaders.
- Develop and maintain the nuclear audit/project plan annually; support and execute internal and external audits; perform minimum five QA audits within three years (at least one annually).
- Manage quality resources and coordinate quality staff to support projects; develop Management Review content and chair meetings.
- Report in-country Quality KPIs, manage deviations, corrective actions, non-conformance reporting, and lessons learned.
- Develop new quality procedures to comply with changing nuclear standards and client requirements; implement continuous improvement processes.
- Own global nuclear quality reporting; influence business leaders and veto significant quality risks; report to Global Quality Management Systems Director.
Requirements
- Bachelor's or master’s degree in engineering, science, Quality, or Business.
- 6 years of related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Quality assurance-related experience, preferably in the nuclear power industry (DOE and DOD facilities).
- Knowledge of ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management Systems – Requirements.
- Certified as an Internal Auditor or willing to undergo training.
- Knowledge of ISO 17025:2017 or willingness to learn.
- Knowledge of NQA-1 and ASME NQA-1 standards (ASME NQA-1:2008, NQA-1a:2009, ASME NQA-1 2024), DOE Order 414.1D, and 10 CFR50 Appendix B.
- Knowledge of CSA N286 and CSA N299 (Canada), ISO 19433:2018 (France), and Office for Nuclear Regulation (ONR) - UK requirements or ability to assure in-country governmental regulations.
- Internal audit competency, corrective action management, and ability to execute/support internal and external audits (minimum five QA audits within three years, at least one annually).
- Ability to develop quality procedures, report quality KPIs, and implement continuous improvement processes.
