About the role
- Assist PMs with planning environmental investigations and remediation tasks
- Interface with local Mississippi clients to support their needs on project work
- Evaluate data to support conceptual site models, phased/adaptive investigation strategies, and optimize long-term-monitoring programs
- Participate in and lead tasks for development of CERCLA Remedial Investigations, Feasibility Studies, Proposed Plans, Records of Decisions, and Remedial Designs (and RCRA/State equivalents)
- Coordinate teams for figure generation, data management, work plans, and supporting documents
- Address client and regulatory comments on deliverables and drive comment resolution with PM
- Daily project financial monitoring and reporting budget status to the PM
- Prepare cost estimates to establish project budgets and evaluate subcontractor proposals
- Prepare subcontracts and coordinate subcontractor tasks including schedule, compliance, logistics, health, and safety
- Lead day-to-day activities of junior-level staff and schedule/coordinate task resources
- Perform field-based tasks (approximately 50%) including sample collection, client meetings, planning, safety audits, and overseeing project implementation
Requirements
- Background as a Geologist, Environmental Scientist, Civil Engineer, or Environmental Engineer
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Engineering, Geology, Environmental Science or related discipline
- 4 years of relevant experience
- 40 Hour OSHA Certification
- Preferred: Master of Science degree in Environmental Engineering, Geology, Environmental Science or related discipline
- Preferred: P.E. or P.G. License
