About the role

  • Evaluate, plan, design, permit, and support management of water/wastewater conveyance and treatment projects
  • Prepare design calculations, technical report sections, site drainage, utility relocations, grading plans, and engineering plans and specifications
  • Support construction phase services: construction observation, review of shop drawings, responses to RFIs, and permit closeouts
  • Assess, develop, and support sustainability and resilience projects including vulnerability and mitigation assessments and planning and design for utilities and municipalities
  • Prepare reports, presentations and audio-visual materials and participate in client meetings
  • Support field data collection activities for permit compliance and client support
  • Ensure project compliance with Arcadis practices and quality, health, and safety standards and coordinate for timely completion on budget
  • Learn and use digital tools (SharePoint, BIM, Power BI, Augmented Reality) to enhance project delivery
  • Some travel may be required for site visits, client meetings, safety audits, or construction oversight

Requirements

  • Bachelors degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering or a related field of study
  • 4 years of relevant experience in design or consulting engineering firm or municipal work environment using AutoCAD Civil 3D
  • EIT/Professional Engineering License, or the ability to obtain within 6 months of being hired
  • Proficient in AutoCAD Civil 3D
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Good communication and writing abilities
  • Experience preparing and reviewing project drawings, specifications, schedules and cost estimates (preferred)
  • Experience with hydraulic modeling software (preferred)
  • GIS, database management and data analysis experience (preferred)
  • Masters Degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering or related field (preferred)
