Operations

• Operate ITS devices and information systems on a multi-monitor computer workstation
• Monitor roadways for ongoing traffic movements and incidents
• Dispatch and coordinate with First Responders and City staff/contracted crews for routine and emergency road traffic maintenance
• Disseminate traveler information and manage real-time data entry database
• Collect, review, validate, and disseminate road restriction/closure information to minimize public disruption
• Work in a 24/7/365 environment with flexible shift times (mostly nights and weekends)
• Perform duties at the City of Toronto RESCU Traffic Operations Centre (703 Don Mills Road) and collaborate with stakeholders as required
