About the role
- Support process engineering and promotion of best practices for process design and major process mechanical systems
- Establish design criteria and perform engineering analyses, modeling, and calculations
- Prepare or support preparation of detailed design drawings and specifications
- Gather information, develop and evaluate alternatives, and prepare engineering reports
- Perform design calculations, system sizing, equipment selection, and write material/product specifications
- Provide engineering services during construction: review contractor equipment submittals, shop drawings, and respond to RFIs
- Provide technical support for regional business development: client interactions, site visits, technical training, workshop presentations
- Interact and correspond with clients, Arcadis staff, permitting agencies and other consulting firms in project execution
Requirements
- Degree in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Environmental Engineering or a related engineering degree
- Familiarity or experience with CAD, AutoCAD, Revit, and/or MicroStation
- Current, valid driver’s license and a clean driving record
- Strong attention to detail, exceptional organization skills, and a solid work ethic
- Self-motivated and team-oriented; capable of working independently and collaboratively
- Strong interpersonal skills; ability to engage with staff, clients, and stakeholders
- Flexibility, proactive attitude, and initiative to tackle new projects
- Ability to perform engineering analyses, modeling, and calculations and prepare design drawings and specifications
- Preferred: Prior internship experience in Consulting Engineering firm
- Preferred: EIT certification
