About the role
- Manage and execute water/wastewater treatment design and construction support projects
- Coordinate multi-disciplined engineering teams to deliver project budgets and schedules
- Provide technical leadership throughout planning, design, and construction phases of treatment plants, collection systems, and lift stations
- Prepare construction documents, develop specifications, and manage construction oversight and administration
- Lead client development, capture strategies, proposal and presentation efforts
- Collaborate with Area Leaders and client Account Leaders on scopes, fee estimates, risk management, and staffing
- Coordinate with technical advisors for process modeling and facility design and contribute to strategic planning
- Mentor junior engineers and ensure compliance with Arcadis practices, quality, and safety standards
- Hybrid role based in Houston, Austin, or Dallas, TX with up to 10% travel
Requirements
- 12 or more years of related industry experience in the water/wastewater field
- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil, Environmental, Mechanical, Chemical Engineering or related field
- PE License in Texas (or ability to obtain TX PE within 6 months)
- 15+ years of related industry experience (preferred)
- Master’s Degree in Civil, Environmental, Mechanical, Chemical Engineering or related field (preferred)
- Strong technical engineering background and experience delivering water/wastewater treatment plant design projects
- Experience with client development pursuit/proposal and interviews
- Experience delivering technical presentations and participating in project pursuit interviews
- Organized with strong attention to detail
- Flexible to work with different project teams locally and across remote offices
- Experience negotiating, managing, and successfully delivering projects with fees of $1 million or more
- Ability to travel up to 10% for site visits, client meetings, and business development activities
