About the role

  • Arcadis Senior Water/Wastewater Pipeline Design Leader to join Resilience Water Team in Southern California
  • Lead and manage project delivery and pursuit of municipal water/wastewater pipeline projects across California
  • Design for linear projects including pipeline assessment and rehabilitation
  • Manage planning, design and construction of water distribution, wastewater collection, stormwater systems, and pump/lift stations
  • Create construction documents, specifications, and handle construction oversight/administration for new construction and rehabilitation
  • Manage and lead condition assessment evaluations for pipelines and pump/lift stations using various approaches and technologies
  • Ensure projects meet budgets and delivery schedules; manage scope, schedule, and budget
  • Collaborate with clients to identify needs, offer solutions, lead proposals and deliver presentations
  • Prepare comprehensive construction packages for engineering, procurement, and construction of water and wastewater systems
  • Manage cost estimates and project schedules; ensure design tasks are completed on time and within budget
  • Supervise, mentor, and develop junior engineers and technical staff; handle hiring, onboarding, and performance management

Requirements

  • 10 years of Water/Wastewater experience
  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil, Environmental, Mechanical, Chemical Engineering or a related field of study
  • California PE License or ability to obtain within 6 months
  • Excellent technical engineering and Project/Task Management skills within the water/wastewater practice area
  • Strong background in design and construction of water distribution systems, wastewater collection systems, storm water systems, and pump/lift stations
  • Experience in pipeline and pump station design projects is highly desirable
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to prepare, review, and approve project drawings, specifications, schedules, and cost estimates
  • Ability to build and maintain client relationships and prepare proposals
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications
  • Preferred: 15+ years of experience
  • Preferred: Master’s degree in Civil, Environmental or Mechanical Engineering or an MBA
  • Preferred: Master planning experience
  • Preferred: Alternative Project Delivery experience
  • Preferred: Active participation in regional or national professional associations
  • Preferred: NASSCO PACP/MACP/LACP Certification
