About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Deliver the Workplace Promise consistently across the portfolio in Australia
- Provide a best-in-class experience for Arcadis employees, guests and office users
- Manage internal teams and/or outsourced Workplace suppliers
- Ensure standards and KPIs are met across all properties within the remit
- Conduct audits where applicable
- Set budgets, approve costs, reforecast and manage the country Workplace budget
- Interface with safety, health, environment and quality functions to meet Workplace health, safety and sustainability responsibilities
- Review and update Workplace standards
- Coordinate Workplace communications and intranet sites
- Support Workplace projects when required
- Lead team members and contractors delivering Workplace services
- Ensure compliance with legislation, codes of practice and Arcadis standards
- Act as escalation point for country-related Workplace issues
- Engage with Work Councils and Unions
- Advise the Regional Workplace Operations Manager and suppliers on country FM and Workplace matters
- Manage the supply chain to ensure consistent service, value for money, transparency, innovation and continual improvement
- Manage Workplace responsibilities defined in supply chain contracts and scopes of work
- Report on budget performance and manage supply chain escalations and variances
- Interface with enabling functions
- Participate in regional and global Workplace teams
- Deputize for the Regional Workplace Operations Manager as required
Requirements
What you’ll need- Sound knowledge of FM/Workplace matters and practices gained by significant experience in a similar environment with a portfolio size of 10 offices
- Experience delivering high-quality user experience in flagship properties
- Experience leading an outsourced Workplace service model
- Relevant qualifications / experience
- Membership of a recognized facility management/workplace professional body at a level appropriate to the role
- Financial acumen, including experience managing budgets in excess of $0.5m, budget setting, reporting and variance management
- Fluency in written and spoken English is essential
- Excellent communication, negotiation and presentation skills
- Significant experience in FM/Workplace or similar, multi-site customer-facing environments
- Experience managing outsourced Workplace service contracts
- Sound knowledge of CAFM systems used in the delivery of Workplace services
- Ability to work in a global organization and a matrix environment
- Ability to prioritize and manage a complex workload
- Systematic approach to problem solving and decision making
- Willingness to undertake travel within the country and occasionally beyond as required
