About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Deliver technical and innovative solutions for the design, delivery, and management of critical structural resources
Co-locate at the project office for a major design-build infrastructure project
Frequently visit the construction site
Participate in project progress meetings
Collaborate with other design disciplines
Collaborate with senior engineers to resolve RFIs and NCRs

Requirements

What you’ll need

5 or more years of professional work experience in transportation infrastructure
Experience in the design of concrete and steel bridge structures
Bachelor’s Degree in Civil/Structural Engineering
EI/EIT Certification
Experience with AASHTO design codes
Proficiency with Bentley/LEAP/Open Bridge Designer, MathCAD, Microsoft Office products, and MicroStation
Effective problem solving skills
Ability to take initiative and make decisions
Ability to work with little direct oversight
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with ability to convey information to technical and non-technical individuals
