About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Lead teams of professionals across multiple environmental project sites
Manage environmental investigation, remediation, monitoring, and regulatory compliance efforts
Manage project scope, schedules, and budgets for well installation, site investigation, remediation, site operations, maintenance, monitoring, and other fieldwork
Communicate with clients, stakeholders, and regulatory agencies
Oversee project financial management and accountability
Write and review technical reports, proposals, and cost estimates
Coordinate work schedules with Arcadis staff and subcontractors
Conduct occasional field visits to verify work quality, mentor junior staff, and ensure health and safety protocol adherence
Provide timely client and regulatory communications
Collaborate with field technicians, field scientists, task managers, assistant project managers, and technical experts
Support projects through all phases of the site evaluation and remediation life cycle

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor’s Degree in Geology, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a closely related field
4+ years of experience in environmental consulting preferred
2+ years of task management or assistant project management experience preferred
Experience working with clients in the oil and gas market sector preferred, not required
Familiarity with New Jersey and surrounding states’ environmental regulations
40-Hour HAZWOPER Training
Candidates local to the New Jersey and Eastern Pennsylvania areas required
Strong understanding of environmental investigation and remediation within state and federal regulatory frameworks
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a high-performance team
Attention to detail
Ability to manage project scope, schedules, and budgets
Ability to meet health and safety requirements
