About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead teams of professionals across multiple environmental project sites
- Manage environmental investigation, remediation, monitoring, and regulatory compliance efforts
- Manage project scope, schedules, and budgets for well installation, site investigation, remediation, site operations, maintenance, monitoring, and other fieldwork
- Communicate with clients, stakeholders, and regulatory agencies
- Oversee project financial management and accountability
- Write and review technical reports, proposals, and cost estimates
- Coordinate work schedules with Arcadis staff and subcontractors
- Conduct occasional field visits to verify work quality, mentor junior staff, and ensure health and safety protocol adherence
- Provide timely client and regulatory communications
- Collaborate with field technicians, field scientists, task managers, assistant project managers, and technical experts
- Support projects through all phases of the site evaluation and remediation life cycle
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s Degree in Geology, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a closely related field
- 4+ years of experience in environmental consulting preferred
- 2+ years of task management or assistant project management experience preferred
- Experience working with clients in the oil and gas market sector preferred, not required
- Familiarity with New Jersey and surrounding states’ environmental regulations
- 40-Hour HAZWOPER Training
- Candidates local to the New Jersey and Eastern Pennsylvania areas required
- Strong understanding of environmental investigation and remediation within state and federal regulatory frameworks
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a high-performance team
- Attention to detail
- Ability to manage project scope, schedules, and budgets
- Ability to meet health and safety requirements
