About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Evaluate, plan, and design water, wastewater, and stormwater treatment and conveyance projects, including pipelines and pumping facilities
  • Support project management activities
  • Contribute to sustainability and resilience projects through vulnerability assessments, mitigation planning, and solution design
  • Perform site visits, water sampling, water-quality analysis, technology evaluations, process troubleshooting, and plant-operations optimization
  • Support Asset Management projects through data analytics, operational and organizational assessments, condition assessments, and facility performance evaluations
  • Prepare reports, presentations, and audiovisual materials
  • Participate in client meetings
  • Ensure compliance with Arcadis practices and quality, health, and safety standards
  • Coordinate timely completion and submission of projects on time and budget
  • Learn, design, and manage databases, SQL Server, reporting and integration services, cloud-based computing services, and interactive dashboards
  • Collaborate with team members across the U.S. and internationally
  • Configure and deploy SharePoint, BIM, Power BI, and Augmented Reality tools

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor of Science degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering, or a closely related engineering discipline
  • Knowledge of engineering concepts, theories, and practices related to water/wastewater/stormwater
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Exceptional organizational skills
  • Diligent work ethic
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Self-motivated, team-oriented, and adaptable
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Familiarity or experience with AutoCAD
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
  • Prior work or internship experience at a design or consulting engineering firm or municipal work environment preferred
  • Experience with AutoCAD, ArcGIS, and/or Revit preferred
  • EIT certification preferred
