About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Evaluate, plan, and design water, wastewater, and stormwater treatment and conveyance projects, including pipelines and pumping facilities
Support project management activities
Contribute to sustainability and resilience projects through vulnerability assessments, mitigation planning, and solution design
Perform site visits, water sampling, water-quality analysis, technology evaluations, process troubleshooting, and plant-operations optimization
Support Asset Management projects through data analytics, operational and organizational assessments, condition assessments, and facility performance evaluations
Prepare reports, presentations, and audiovisual materials
Participate in client meetings
Ensure compliance with Arcadis practices and quality, health, and safety standards
Coordinate timely completion and submission of projects on time and budget
Learn, design, and manage databases, SQL Server, reporting and integration services, cloud-based computing services, and interactive dashboards
Collaborate with team members across the U.S. and internationally
Configure and deploy SharePoint, BIM, Power BI, and Augmented Reality tools

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor of Science degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering, or a closely related engineering discipline
Knowledge of engineering concepts, theories, and practices related to water/wastewater/stormwater
Strong attention to detail
Exceptional organizational skills
Diligent work ethic
Effective written and verbal communication skills
Self-motivated, team-oriented, and adaptable
Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills
Familiarity or experience with AutoCAD
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
Prior work or internship experience at a design or consulting engineering firm or municipal work environment preferred
Experience with AutoCAD, ArcGIS, and/or Revit preferred
EIT certification preferred
