Key responsibilities & impact- Evaluate, plan, and design water, wastewater, and stormwater treatment and conveyance projects, including pipelines and pumping facilities
- Support project management activities
- Contribute to sustainability and resilience projects through vulnerability assessments, mitigation planning, and solution design
- Perform site visits, water sampling, water-quality analysis, technology evaluations, process troubleshooting, and plant-operations optimization
- Support Asset Management projects through data analytics, operational and organizational assessments, condition assessments, and facility performance evaluations
- Prepare reports, presentations, and audiovisual materials
- Participate in client meetings
- Ensure compliance with Arcadis practices and quality, health, and safety standards
- Coordinate timely completion and submission of projects on time and budget
- Learn, design, and manage databases, SQL Server, reporting and integration services, cloud-based computing services, and interactive dashboards
- Collaborate with team members across the U.S. and internationally
- Configure and deploy SharePoint, BIM, Power BI, and Augmented Reality tools
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor of Science degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering, or a closely related engineering discipline
- Knowledge of engineering concepts, theories, and practices related to water/wastewater/stormwater
- Strong attention to detail
- Exceptional organizational skills
- Diligent work ethic
- Effective written and verbal communication skills
- Self-motivated, team-oriented, and adaptable
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills
- Familiarity or experience with AutoCAD
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
- Prior work or internship experience at a design or consulting engineering firm or municipal work environment preferred
- Experience with AutoCAD, ArcGIS, and/or Revit preferred
- EIT certification preferred
