About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Evaluate, plan, and design water, wastewater, and stormwater treatment and conveyance projects, including pipelines and pumping facilities
Support project management activities
Contribute to sustainability and resilience projects through vulnerability assessments, mitigation planning, and solution design for utilities, municipalities, and cities
Perform site visits, water sampling, water quality analysis, technology evaluation, process troubleshooting, and plant operations optimization
Gather critical field data and support efficient operation of water and wastewater systems
Support Asset Management projects through data analytics, operational and organizational assessments, condition assessments, and facility performance evaluation
Prepare reports, presentations, and audio-visual materials
Participate in client meetings
Ensure project compliance with Arcadis practices and quality, health, and safety standards
Coordinate timely completion and submission of projects on time and budget
Learn, design, and manage databases, SQL Server, cloud-based computing services, and interactive dashboards
Collaborate independently and with teams across the U.S. and internationally
Use digital tools including SharePoint, BIM, Power BI, and Augmented Reality to enhance collaboration and project delivery

Requirements

What you’ll need

Pursuing a Bachelors of Science degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering (or a closely related engineering discipline)
Strong attention to detail
Exceptional organizational skills
Diligent work ethic
Effective written and verbal communication skills
Self-motivated, team-oriented, and adaptable
Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills
Knowledge of engineering concepts, theories, and practices related to water/wastewater/stormwater
Familiarity or experience with AutoCAD
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications such as Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
Prior work/internship experience at a design or consulting engineering firm or municipal work environment preferred
Experience with AutoCAD, ArcGIS, and/or Revit preferred
EIT certification preferred
