About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Support an expanding portfolio of civil and environmental engineering projects
Collaborate with experienced environmental and civil engineers on projects across North America
Work on remediation, land development, and restoration projects for industrial-private, public sector, and agency-based clients
Perform land development planning, hydraulic modeling/calculations, erosion and sediment control evaluations and layout, and earthwork site design
Develop permit/construction-level drawings and details
Prepare construction technical specifications
Write reports for civil and environmental permitting
Evaluate construction costs and prepare estimates
Provide office-based construction support, including submittal reviews, field change documentation, and site layout information

Requirements

What you’ll need

Enrolled in or have earned a BS in Civil, Environmental, or related engineering discipline; diploma required upon graduation
Previous work experience through an internship or full-time experience in civil or environmental consulting or a related field
Proficiency in Microsoft Office
Strong communication skills
Focus on health and safety
Excellent teambuilding and organizational abilities
Passion for pursuing a career in civil/environmental engineering
Valid driver's license and clean driving record
Preferred: 1–2 years of previous work experience in civil or environmental consulting or a related field
Preferred: Successful completion of the Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) exam or scheduled within the next 6 months
Preferred: Experience with AutoCAD, Autodesk Civil 3D, or other terrain modeling design software
Preferred: Experience with hydrologic/hydraulic modeling, such as HydroCAD, WinTR-55, PondPack, or HEC-RAS
