About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Coordinate and execute activities assigned by Project Managers for environmental projects
- Support active remediation and environmental projects
- Operate and troubleshoot real-time instrumentation and repair equipment as required
- Oversee installation of remediation and treatment systems
- Conduct compliance sampling
- Support environmental site assessments, risk assessments, and remediation projects under Project Manager guidance
- Conduct site visits and inspections
- Monitor and supervise drilling and remediation activities
- Prepare field notes
- Collect soil, groundwater, and surface water samples
- Support data tabulation
- Write environmental reports
- Supervise drilling and well construction
Requirements
What you’ll need- Technical Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental Science, Engineering, Earth Sciences, or a related field
- 8+ years of experience in environmental fieldwork
- C. Tech or C.E.T. designation preferred
- Mechanically inclined
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Effective communication, interpersonal, and writing skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Experience with FCSAP and PFAS
- Completion of contaminated sites field work at government sites
- Ability to understand real-time instrumentation systems
- Ability to travel to sites around Atlantic Canada approximately 85% of the time
