About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Coordinate and execute activities assigned by Project Managers for environmental projects
Support active remediation and environmental projects
Operate and troubleshoot real-time instrumentation and repair equipment as required
Oversee installation of remediation and treatment systems
Conduct compliance sampling
Support environmental site assessments, risk assessments, and remediation projects under Project Manager guidance
Conduct site visits and inspections
Monitor and supervise drilling and remediation activities
Prepare field notes
Collect soil, groundwater, and surface water samples
Support data tabulation
Write environmental reports
Supervise drilling and well construction

Requirements

What you’ll need

Technical Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental Science, Engineering, Earth Sciences, or a related field
8+ years of experience in environmental fieldwork
C. Tech or C.E.T. designation preferred
Mechanically inclined
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Effective communication, interpersonal, and writing skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Experience with FCSAP and PFAS
Completion of contaminated sites field work at government sites
Ability to understand real-time instrumentation systems
Ability to travel to sites around Atlantic Canada approximately 85% of the time
