About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Support growth in water, wastewater, and stormwater opportunities across upstate New York
- Work with area leaders, managers, project managers, and technical experts to win and deliver projects
- Advance strategic growth, market planning, and key initiatives across the market area
- Build trusted relationships with client decision-makers
- Understand client organizations, processes, cultures, utility challenges, client needs, projects, market conditions, and pursuit opportunities
- Lead pursuit plans and client engagement strategies; participate in task order development and interviews
- Coordinate project delivery and high-quality services and deliverables on schedule
- Lead project planning, design, construction administration, scope development, and cost proposals
- Coordinate multidisciplinary teams, subconsultants, and internal stakeholders
- Manage scope, schedule, budget, quality, and risk throughout the project lifecycle
- Identify risks, issues, and changes; develop mitigation strategies and communicate impacts
- Serve as a senior technical resource for municipal water, wastewater, stormwater, resilience, utility planning, design, construction, and program management projects
- Support staff development, resource planning, allocation, financial performance, growth, and business success
- Mentor junior and mid-level staff
- Partner with regional and national leaders to align account growth with business objectives and growth strategy
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor of Science Degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering, Water Resources, or a related field of study
- 15 years of relevant experience
- Experience in business development and/or project management in the water, wastewater, stormwater, resilience, and solid waste sectors
- Professional Engineer (PE) license in New York or ability to obtain within 6 months
- Preferred: Master’s Degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering, Water Resources, or a related field of study
- Preferred: 10 years of relevant sales and account management experience
