About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Evaluate, plan, design, and support management of water, wastewater, and stormwater projects, including treatment, pipelines, and pumping facilities.
  • Assess, develop, and support management of sustainability and resilience projects, including vulnerability and mitigation assessments.
  • Support planning and design for utilities, municipalities, and cities.
  • Conduct site visits, sampling, water quality analyses, technology evaluations, plant operations information gathering, process troubleshooting, and system optimization.
  • Support Asset Management projects through data analytics, operational and organizational assessments, condition assessments, and performance evaluations of water, wastewater, and stormwater facilities.
  • Assist in designing treatment facilities, pumping stations, and water and sewer mains.
  • Prepare reports, presentations, and audio-visual materials; participate in client meetings.
  • Ensure compliance with Arcadis practices and quality, health, and safety standards.
  • Coordinate timely project completion and submission within schedule and budget.
  • Collaborate independently and as part of teams across the U.S. and internationally.
  • Learn and use SharePoint, BIM, Power BI, and Augmented Reality tools for collaboration and project delivery.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Pursuing a BS in Civil, Environmental, or another closely related academic discipline.
  • Prior internship or coursework in water/wastewater, water resources, or related sectors (preferred).
  • EIT certification or desire to obtain (preferred).
  • Local candidates preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
  • Solid work ethic, initiative, and ability to take on new projects and challenges.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Self-motivated, team-oriented, and flexible approach.
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Solid understanding of engineering concepts, theories, and practices related to water, wastewater, and stormwater.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
